HARRISBURG, Pa. – Nearly 1,500 Pennsylvanians are employed by the House. In an effort to save money, long-time employees of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives are being offered an early retirement incentive.
Under this incentive, PA House employees are being offered one thousand dollars for each year (up to 25) they’ve been on the job.
The catch? They must be willing to step down by October 22nd of this year.
The deadline to participate is August 30th, and employees who take part can’t work for the House again for at least 10 years.
