Dennis Calvin Bowser of Eastwood Drive in Clarion passed away at his home on April 14, 2018. He was 77 years of age.
He was born on July 30, 1940 in Rimersburg, the son of the late Walter James and Helen Koch Bowser. After high school, he served his country in the United States Air Force. On March 21, 1964 he married the former Linda Kenemuth, who survives.
Dennis was a meat cutter, the owner of Bowser’s Butcher Block, and later worked for other companies in the meat department. He enjoyed his morning coffee with the Sheetz coffee crew and spending time with his dog, Cooper.
Dennis is survived by his wife; his son, Todd Bowser and wife Rona, of Curllsville; his daughter, Melissa Steele and husband Jeffrey, of Clarion; his grandchildren, Lindsey and Dylan Fox, Abigail Steele and fiancé Devin Burkhouse, and Erin Bowser and fiancé Cesar Lopez. He is also survived by his brother, Loren Bowser and wife Marilyn, of Parker, and sister, Caroline Eaker, of Sligo.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Loren Bowser Jr., and a sister, Ellen Bowser Guisewite.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Trinity Evangelical Congregation Church at Fern.
