Clarion Baseball Picked Eighth in PSAC Preseason Poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the results of its baseball preseason coaches’ poll on Friday, with predictions for the finishes of the East and West divisions.  Clarion was predicted to finish eighth in the PSAC West Division.

The Golden Eagles went 13-31 a year ago – a three-win improvement on the previous year – and also recorded a 5-21 mark in PSAC West play.  This year’s roster features a mixture of young and old, with 14 returners and 16 newcomers entering the fold in 2018.

The 2018 season begins on Friday, February 16 when the Golden Eagles begin competition at Coker College in Hartsville, S.C.  Clarion follows that up with a doubleheader against Alderson Broaddus on Saturday, February 17.
