Sharon S. Gordon

 

Sharon Suzanne Gordon, 66 of Shippenville, died on December 11, 2017 at the Clarion Hospital following a brief illness.

 

She was born on May 25, 1951 in Oil City, the daughter of the late Sherman and Florence (Gathers) Gordon.  After high school, she attended college where she obtained an associate’s degree in business administration.

 

She worked for Clarion Hospital as a phlebotomist.  She was a member of the Shippenville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, painting, was an avid reader, spending time with her children & grandchildren, and she had a passion for helping others.

 

Sharon is survived by her children, Michael “Todd” McClaine (Janet) of Phoenixville, Kelly Lynn Raggazino of Pottstown, Gordon “Scott” McClaine (Justine) of Strattanville, and Rebecca “B.J.” McClaine (Jayme) of Kutztown; her seven grandchildren, Jessica Skiffington (Rob), Courtney McClaine (Justin), Justine McClaine, Katharine “Katie” Raggazino, Doug Raggazino, Kieran Richter, Gracie McClaine.

 

In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Sue, and son, Daniel Gordon and family. She is also survived by her special “adopted daughter” Lisa Goodman of Rimersburg.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles “Bucky” Gordon and William “Bill” Gordon.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s name to Open Hearth, Inc., P.O. Box 66, Spring City PA 19475, (www.openhearthinc.org).

 

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from and 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.  An additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday and funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home with Tom Hannold officiating.
